Whether your shipment is flying out of Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali or sailing from the port, getting your goods through Indonesian customs is something we take care of from start to finish. We file the paperwork, liaise with Bea Cukai (Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise), and make sure your cargo has its export approval before it moves.
What export customs clearance actually involves
In Indonesia, every export shipment requires a PEB — Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang, the official Export Goods Declaration. This document is submitted electronically to Bea Cukai and must contain accurate details about the goods, their value, quantity, and destination. Once reviewed and approved, customs issues an NPE (Nota Persetujuan Ekspor) — the export approval that legally clears your goods to leave the country.
The process sounds straightforward, but timing matters. Submissions typically happen up to seven days before the scheduled departure, and any discrepancies in documentation can cause delays. We’ve been doing this since 1993 — we know what Bea Cukai expects, and we prepare everything accordingly.
One important thing to know
Our responsibility covers the export side: getting your goods cleared and out of Indonesia.
For sea freight, all shipments travel overland from Bali to Tanjung Perak port in Surabaya, where they are loaded for departure. Our prices are quoted CIF — Cost, Insurance & Freight — meaning we cover the cost of the goods, marine insurance, and freight all the way to the destination port.
What CIF does not include is what happens once your shipment arrives: import duties, local VAT, port handling fees, and customs clearance at the destination are handled on the receiving end and are not part of our quote.
For air freight, our price is quoted to the destination airport on the same basis.
