Export Licenses
We prepare the license documents you need to legally ship your goods from Bali.
Most goods from Bali ship without a license. But some categories do require one, and a few cannot leave Indonesia at all. We handle the paperwork; you just need to know which bucket your products fall into before you purchase them.
Before you start
Once we submit a license application, we can’t pull it back or change it. If quantities shift after we’ve filed, we have to start a new request — and the original one still gets charged, used or not. To avoid that situation, send us your final product list before we apply. We’ll tell you exactly what’s needed.
Most common export licenses for your goods from Indonesia.
- Indonesian rosewood (also called palisander, or sonokeling) cannot be exported.
- Ulin (ironwood) is subject to special restrictions. Check with us before you buy.
In Indonesia, the wood export license is called the V-Legal — equivalent to the EU's FLEGT standard for combating illegal timber. This single-use document confirms the legal origin of the wood and is accepted by all destination countries. The quantity stated on the license must exactly match what is loaded in the container.
Decking, flooring, door & window frames, wooden houses, gazebos, bungalows.

If your items don't fit any of the four categories above, we need to inspect them before they can be shipped. Some wood pieces simply cannot leave Indonesia. Contact us before you purchase — it's much easier to check in advance than to deal with blocked goods at the warehouse.

Common stones, petrified wood statues, and polished or engraved megalithic stones.

Any article (jewellery, decoration, lighting, and similar) made wholly or partially of nacre, pearl, or shell.
Any article (jewellery, decoration, lighting, and similar) made wholly or partially of natural leather, animal bones or teeth, or bird feathers.
