Export from Bali
Air or sea, Limajari handles the full export from your Bali supplier to a port or airport anywhere in the world.
Limajari Cargo has been managing exports from Bali since 1993. Whether your shipment is a single carton of jewellery that needs to clear customs by the end of the week in New York, or a full container of furniture bound for Le Havre, we handle the entire journey: pickup, packing, documents, licenses, fumigation, customs clearance, and freight.
What exactly is an export?
The short answer: an export is anything produced in one country and sold to a buyer in another. Made in Bali, bought by someone abroad… that’s an export.
In practice, the term covers a lot of ground — physical goods in a container, services delivered remotely, even the suitcase you check on a plane if you’re selling what’s inside. For a fuller definition, see this article.
For our purposes here, an export means cargo. Furniture, handicrafts, stone work, food products… packed in Bali, cleared through Indonesian customs, on a plane or a ship to somewhere else.
EXPORT: “Goods and services produced in one country and purchased by residents of another. If it’s produced locally and sold to someone in a foreign country, it’s an export.”
Two ways to ship from Bali
About speed, volume and costs
The fastest way out
Air freight export
Door-to-door in 4 to 10 days, depending on destination. Right for time-sensitive orders, high-value goods, and anything that can’t sit in a container for a month. Below 45 kg, we ship through DHL, FedEx-TNT, or UPS; above 45 kg, through belly freight on carriers such as Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, or Thai Airways.
The smartest way to scale
Sea freight export
Bali has no international container port, so all sea freight from the island travels overland to Tanjung Perak (Surabaya) before loading. We offer Full Container Load (FCL), Less than Container Load (LCL), and our own consolidation service to France (Le Havre, Marseille) and other selected destinations.
How to choose
Air or sea, the right route for your cargo
If speed is the constraint, air freight is the answer. If volume or budget is the constraint, sea freight is. For everything in between, the right call depends on your goods, your destination, and your timeline, and we’re happy to run a comparison for you.
